In the last few months, serious wedding preparations have continued…

There was a Super Bowl… (and Stella watched the Puppy Bowl)…

We had Valentine’s Day…

And life progressed, basically as normal.

Dogs in Halloween Costumes!

This is Darcy’s first Halloween in costume, and she, surprisingly, didn’t put up a fuss.  Pizi and Stella are seasoned pros.  This year, they all went as food.

Pizi went as grapes…

Stella went as a banana split….

…and Darcy went as a hot dog.

We tried to get them to pose, and we got mixed results:

These are completely random.  I have to apologize to Pizi, in case she ever learns to read and use the Internet.  There’s only one picture of her.  Poor girl.

This one was a little bit tricky to name.

The obvious avenue was to play off Mother Teresa somehow.

Our First Quake

We’ve been situated in Orange County now for a few days.  When we moved in, I asked Sandi, our realtor, why there were canvas straps holding our water heater to the wall.  “Earthquakes,” she replied nonchalantly.  The thought of boiling hot water spewing from a fallen heater during our first quake shook me up a bit.

Last night, however, this quake hit down near San Diego, and we felt it here.  At first I thought Michelle was shaking the couch somehow, but then I saw the look of panic on her face.  We both realized what was going on and said to eachother “earthquake.”  Darcy and Stella slept through the whole thing, and Pizi growled a little.  She was going to get that earthquake.

This was a very minor earthquake for the region.  No one was hurt even near the epicenter over 150 miles away.  It was still a new experience, however, and I thought it was worth sharing.

We had another quake, a bigger one a few days back.  I didn’t think to update.  I guess I’m getting used to them already?

Stella Can’t Keep Her Hands to Herself

First Post. New camera. Ready to go.

This blog, unlike my other blog, lawtag.wordpress.com, is personal, informal, and meant mostly for my friends and family.

I got a camera for my second anniversary with Michelle, so this blog will mostly be me experimenting and posting photos.  Comments are nice, so by all means leave them.  If you want one of the pictures to print, or keep, don’t use the version posted on here.  Leave a comment, email me, or tweet me, and I will get you the original, high resolution image.
