Photos Near the Apartment
The last few weeks of 2L year are winding down I’m struggling to understand scheme liability. So, on a break, I’m posting some pictures I took near my apartment in Columbus.
Across the street:
Some Carolina Pictures
This is sort of a potpourri of photos I’ve taken while visiting Michelle.
First, Darcy tanning…
For my birthday, Michelle got me a Leatherman (awesome). She also made me a root beer cake (delicious). I quickly cut myself with the knife, and then cheered myself up with the cake.
We took some pictures of Michelle to celebrate her graduation.
This is where graduation will be held:
Proof we went to a decent journalism school:

Stuff for Sale
If you need a dining table, wine rack, book shelf, computer desk, end table, or couch, and happen to be in the Columbus area, please let me know!
I also recently sold these books to Half Price Books… Clearing out for the move…
Pictures from the Dogpark
Darcy loves the dogpark, and we try to go everyday. Here are some photos:
Grass has a hard time growing in the dogpark.
The dogs also make a lot of waste…
And leave behind some lonely tennis balls.
I Hate Cars
That’s an overstatement. I hate when my car is going to cost me money. I recently took my car in for repairs because it was having a bunch of minor issues.
Turns out, the air conditioning that isn’t that cool anymore: $900 compressor replacement. That whine from the back end: $2,300 rear differential replacement. That pain in my stomach… well that’s free.
The bottom line, I think I need a new car. I was thinking about getting a new car after the move to LA anyhow. I don’t want to move my car across the country, and the mileage it gets is terrible, so I’ve been thinking about selling.
So I’ve added to the to do list: find a new car.
Easter at Home
As promised, here are some of the pictures I took while I was at home for Easter. I’m running a little behind on posting, so I apologize for that. I’ll try to update this, and #lawtag more often during these last few weeks of the semester. First, some pictures of the dogs in the front yard (I can’t resist dog pictures):
Everyone gave me birthday presents; I also got a chocolate bunny and a BP gift card from my parents:
I spent some time taking pictures around the garage, here’s a quick gallery (click for larger images):

Working on an L.A. Playlist for the Drive Out
I know its a while off, but a good, themed playlist can make or break a long drive. This is what I’ve come up with so far (mostly the obvious, in no particular order):
- Beach Boys – California Girls
- Notorious B.I.G. – Back to Cali
- Joy Electric – Matterhorn (not sure if this is a reference to Disneyland or not)
- Bright Eyes – June on the West Coast
- The Ataris – “Summer ’79” OR “Alone in Santa Cruz”
- Everclear – “Santa Monica” OR “Like a California King”
- Decembrists – “Valencia” OR “Los Angeles, I’m Yours
- Yellowcard – Ocean Avenue
- Sonic Youth – Pacific Coast Highway
- 2Pac – To Live and Die in L.A.
- 2Pac – California Love
- The Mamas and The Papas – California Dreamin
- Green Day – Welcome to Paradise
- Mos Def – Kalifornia
- Guns N’ Roses – “Welcome to the Jungle” OR “Paradise City”
- Weezer – Beverly Hills
- Phantom Planet – California
- Rilo Kiley – I love L.A.
- Red Hot Chili Peppers – Californication
- Less Than Jake – Hell Looks a Lot Like L.A.
- The Game – California Vacation [not safe for work, or most parents]
- Eagles – Hotel California
I know it’s genre-biased, and I’m sure I’m missing some Dre and Snoop, but this is what came to my head, or came up with quick searches of my library. If you have suggestions, please post them here.
Home for Easter
Just up today and tomorrow. Back in Columbus by Monday. I’m trying to take as many pictures as I can. I’ll try to post good ones soon.
Also, Michelle and I booked tickets to L.A. to look for a house!
Stuff Around Michelle’s House
Michelle has a lot of nice things. They are even nicer when you take time to appreciate them up close.
